Washington has some of the most scenic and beautiful views our country has to offer. From breathtaking coastlines to glacier mountaintops, eloping in Washington is the perfect way for a couple to say “I do”.

With such a diverse landscape, choosing the right locations can be challenging, but having a PNW elopement is like no other! I’ve put together all of the best locations throughout that state for you to see and choose for your elopement!

Before we start talking about all of the amazing locations in Washington, there are a few things you should know and think about when considering elopement ideas. Such as the time of year, licenses for the state, and the weather - here are your engagement resources for the gorgeous state of Washington!

BEST TIME OF YEAR

Autumn
The mountains are full of beautiful red, gold, and orange leaves. If you love fall, then Washington won’t disappoint. The aspens and larches offer a stunning view for elopements. 

Spring
Spring time in Washington state is full of blooming flowers and rain showers. The temperatures are cool and the plant life is coming alive. Imagine beautiful meadows with endless flowers! This is also an amazing time to catch a glimpse of whales.

Winter
Washington State becomes a winter wonderland during these months. The mountain tops become covered in snow and offers a scenic view like no other. This is also a perfect time for skiing and other winter adventures!

Summer
Walking along the coast in Washington State is one of the most beautiful experiences. Enjoy the nice sunny warm air as you watch massive waves crash up against the rocks along the coastline. This is a perfect time for eloping in Washington State.

OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER

Marriage License
You can find all of the information about a marriage license in Washington State here but I’ve summed up the important parts for you. 

The state of Washington requires that you apply for a marriage license at least 3 days before your elopement ceremony. This also needs to be done within 60 days of the elopement date.
​
You need to have an officiant and at least 2 witnesses.
I highly recommend applying for your license online if you are from out of state. If you apply in person, you will have to arrive much earlier than your elopement date.

Whether you are looking for a unique PNW cabin or you want to elope in the mountains with Mother Nature, these are the perfect locations for your elopement.

THAT PNW CABIN

If you’re looking for the perfect Washington elopement package, then look no further. There is an endless amount of cabins in Washington, however, my PNW Cabin venue is unlike any other. 

This a-frame cabin is a dream come true for weddings and elopements. Imagine sitting in a wood-fired hot tub next to a creek, with your loved one up in the mountains.

​This venue is an all-inclusive elopement package, meaning I provide everything – including the coziest mugs and wool blankets!

MT. RAINIER NATIONAL PARK

Mount Rainier National Park has a diverse landscape. From old forests to massive mountains and beautiful meadows. This area offers a gorgeous view for elopements!

The Cascades is a long-range of mountains that is an easy drive from Seattle. It offers beautiful scenery and wildlife! This area is simply magical. 

SAN JUAN ISLANDS

San Juan Islands is 172 islands and reefs which are accessible by either boat or plane. This is perfect for whale watching and laid back elopements. It also comes with a perfect sunset every night!

The Olympic National Park is covered with mossy forests and breathtaking coastline views. This area of Washington state offers rich forests, deep blue lakes, waterfalls, and the coastline.
